Get ready for Khaidi sequel!

Khaidi can be considered as one of the landmark films in the career of hero Karthi. Released in 2019, this action thriller became a blockbuster at the box office in spite of not featuring a heroine or a song. Towards the end of the movie, the makers also give us a hint of a sequel.

Talking about this much-anticipated sequel, Khaidi’s producer SR Prabhu said that there will definitely be a second part for this movie. He said that it will go on the floors once Karthi and director Lokesh Kanagaraj get done with their respective projects.

Currently, Karthi is working on Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and PS Mithran’s Sardar. On the flip side, Lokesh Kanagaraj is busy with the works of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. He is also in talks with Vijay’s next film which will be bankrolled by producer Lalit Kumar.

Thus, Khaidi 2 may go on the floors by the end of next year or early 2023. Meanwhile, it is also being remade into Hindi with Ajay Devgn reprising the role of Karthi.
