Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao’s name needs no introduction to the Telugu community. He is a successful actor, filmmaker, and politician who gained recognition all over the world.
It’s his 98th birth anniversary today and his family members along with the Telugu community are still unhappy with the fact that the government did not announce ‘Bharata Ratna’ for NTR. On Friday, Megastar Chiranjeevi also joined his voice in asking ‘Bharata Ratna’ for NTR.
Chiranjeevi shared a note on Twitter, reminding everyone of how musician Bhupen Hazarika was awarded Bharata Ratna posthumously.
In his note, Chiranjeevi wrote, “Legendary singer and musician Bhupen Hazarika was awarded Bharata Ratna posthumously. Similarly, Bharata Ratna should be announced for NTR posthumously and it will be a proud moment for the entire Telugu community. We are going to celebrate NTR’s 100th birth anniversary soon and on this occasion, the government should announce Bharata Ratna to the legendary actor,” and paid his respects on NTR’s 98th birth anniversary.
