Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda recently played the main antagonist role in superstar Salman Khan’s recently released ‘Radhe’ movie. Though the movie has failed to impress the audience, Randeep Hooda made his presence felt. The actor who is still struggling to score big in his career has now fallen into a big controversy. The netizens have been trending #ArrestRandeepHooda hashtag on social media platforms and it is not going well for him.
The reason behind it is a joke the actor cracked in a comedy show. Long back, Randeep went to a comedy show and while talking, he has cracked a sexist and racial joke about a Dalit leader Mayawati. Though the video is not a recent one, it took the internet by storm all of a sudden. All those who came across the video have started showering their anger on the actor.
#ArrestRandeepHooda has now become one of the trending hashtags in India. Netizens are claiming that his joke is hurting be feelings of all the Dalit women. We have to wait and see how far this issue is going to go and if it resolves or not. Firstly, it’s an old video, and secondly, he made the remarks in a comedy show but it has now blown out of proportion. Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda has been removed as the Ambassador of UN treaty after this old video has gone viral.
As of now, there is no statement from the actor with regards to this controversy.
