Director Wants The Career-Twists To Be Straightened Soon

Many people across the world are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown. The careers went haywire and became uncertain for many people across the various sectors. Director Deva Katta also witnessed quite a few twists and turns in his career due to the pandemic.

Deva Katta is currently working for the film Republic. This movie was supposed to be released in August last year. But that didn’t happen due to the first lockdown. Then the makers announced June 4th, 2021 as the new release date. Even that didn’t happen due to the second lockdown.

Mentioning these factors, Deva Katta tweeted, “If not for the Pandemic 1st phase, #REPUBLIC would have been in theatres last August, and if not for this 2nd phase, would have greeted u in theatres tomorrow! Now waiting in a new line for theatres! Hope these twists/twirls of my career will straighten soon! :)”

If there was no pandemic, Republic would have released today. However, it is better if we take everything positively. Hopefully, it does well when it hits the theatres. Touted to be a political drama, Republic features Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles. The new release date will be announced once the situation gets back to normalcy.
