Ray Trailer: A Modern Retelling Of Four Classics

Satyajit Ray is one of India’s greatest filmmakers ever and inspired by four timeless stories, Netflix is coming up with ‘Ray.’ This is an anthology of four unique individuals who go on to achieve greater things in their life. But success has its demerits.

The four individuals are played by Ali Fazal, Manoj Bhajpayee, Harshavardhan Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon. Ali’s tale is ‘Forget Me Not’ and he plays a dynamic entrepreneur and he is a man with the memory of a computer. But he has a disturbed love life.

‘Spolight’ is Harshavardhan’s story and he plays an actor and people close around him, criticise that he doesn’t know acting. Manoj (Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa) essays Musafir Ali while Kay Kay Menon (Bahrupiya) works at a computer firm but he is more interested in doing make-up.

‘Ray’ trailer showcases ego, revenge, envy and betrayal of the four individuals while there is a satire to psychological thriller elements embedded. This series is directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji and Vasan Bala while Radhika Madan, Shweta Basu Prasad and Bidita Bag are part of the female cast.

Netflix has been betting huge to counter Amazon Prime’s originals and ‘Ray’ is carrying a good buzz. The series will be streaming from June 25th.
