Actor S Vijay Passes Away After Road Accident

Exactly a year after the demise of popular actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Indian Cinema has lost yet another bright talent. Popular Kannada actor and National Award winner Sanchari Vijay passed away about a while ago in Bengaluru.

Vijay met with an accident on Saturday night when he was returning home on a friend’s bike. He sustained major injuries in the accident. Immediately, he was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The doctors said that the right side of the brain had a high stroke and severe bleeding. This resulted in severe brain damage and Vijay went into a coma. He didn’t respond to the treatment and eventually breathed his last a few minutes ago. Vijay’s family decided to donate his organs.

Vijay started off his career as a theatre artist. The 37-year-old actor made his film debut with the 2011 movie Rangappa Hogbitna. He then appeared in other movies like Dasavala, Oggarane, and Harivu. He won the Best Actor Award at 62nd National Film Awards for the movie Naanu Avanalla…Avalu. A couple of his films are now in the post-production stage.
