Superstar Mahesh Babu’s 2019 outing ‘Maharshi’ is still holding well on television and so far it has aired ten times. Gemini TV which has the satellite rights of ‘Maharshi,’ screened the movie yet again recently and guess what the film reported decent ratings.
On this tenth screening ‘Maharshi’ reported 7.82 TRP which is far greater than the ninth screening (4.92). This sudden jump can be partly attributed to the lockdown situation in the Telugu states yet there is no question that it’s a super hit movie.
‘Maharshi’ was directed by Vamshi Paidipally and it dealt with farmers’ issues. Mahesh played a student and a CEO of a tech company who returns to India for his friend played by Allari Naresh.
The film went on to win a National Award in the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment category.
