The actress, who is yet to entertain the audience as Late Jayalalithaa in Thalaivi, is leaving fans confident that it will be an uncanny celebrity biopic incarnation of all time.

Now, the actress will essay the role of one more Indian leader and that is Former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi in her next flick. Kangana shared a few pictures where she is seen prepping up for the role. “Every character is a beautiful beginning of a new journey, today we started the journey of #Emergency #Indira with body, face scans and casts to get the look right. Many amazing artists get together to bring one’s vision alive on screen…. This one will be very special @manikarnikafilm,” Kangana wrote.

Fans are excited to hear that she will soon step into the shoes of Indira Gandhi in the upcoming political drama that she will also produce. The film is being written and directed by Sai Kabir, who helmed Kangana’s 2014 release Revolver Rani. The actress also posted a couple of videos on the Instagram story where she is seen going through a body scan process for the role in the office of her production house, Manikarnika Films. “Guess what is going on in Manikaran Films? Body scan for film Emergency, time to get into Madam Prime Minister Indira Gandhi Ji’s skin,” the actress shared on her Instagram story.

Talking about her choice of biographical scripts, portraying a woman known for bringing so many different characters to life is no small task. Kangana gave an incredible performance in Manikarnika and it was a difficult role to portray simply because Queen Lakshmi Bhai was so iconic. Also, her upcoming films Thaliaivi as late Jayalalithaa and Tejas as a fierce pilot officer are proving her chameleon abilities.
