Director Shankar’s Daughter To Marry Cricketer

Wedding bells are ringing at director Shankar’s residence. The filmmaker’s eldest daughter Aishwarya Shankar is reportedly getting married to TNPL cricketer Rohit Damodaren in Mahabalipuram on June 27. Rohit Damodaren is the son of a prominent industrialist Damodaren who owns the Madurai Panthers Cricket team. Rohit is the captain of the team as well. And the bride Aishwarya is a doctor by profession. Shankar’s house is all decked up for the wedding festivities.

As predicted, the wedding will be a close-knit affair due to the lockdown restrictions. Shankar, who has a signature style of having grandeur film sets and a no stranger to mega-budget films, would now have to settle less with no noticeable lavish sets for his daughter’s wedding. Anyway, the good news excites us and we wish the family good luck ahead. The filmmaker is currently bust with his next upcoming film, Indian 2, a vigilante-action thriller.
