Trivikram Srinivas launched ‘Kappela’ remake

After Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Sithara Entertainments takes another Malayalam film’s remake on floors. The official Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit film Kappela was launched formally with a pooja ceremony earlier today in Hyderabad. Star director Trivikram graced the event and launched the movie.

This untitled project will feature Krishna and His Leela fame Sidhu Jonnalagadda and Master fame Arjun Das in the lead roles. This film will be Arjun’s first straight movie in Telugu. The female lead is yet to be finalized. Apparently, two young Malayalam heroines are in consideration for the heroine’s role.

The sources revealed that Sidhu will reprise the role of Srinath Basi from the original version. On the flip side, Arjun Das will reprise the role of Roshan Mathew. The project is being directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar T Ramesh and Sweekar Agasthi is composing the music. The regular shooting will begin soon.

Announcing the project’s launch, Sithara Entertainments tweeted, “Sithara Entertainments #ProductionNo9 featuring @Siddu_buoy & @iam_arjundas has formally launched today with a pooja ceremony. Our Darling Director #Trivikram garu graced the event & blessed the team!”
