Alia Bhatt: The New Pan India Female Star

After the advent of pan-India films and pan-India actors in the industry, it is time to decide on the pan-India actress. Until now, no actress has got this tag. Going by the current developments, it looks like Alia Bhatt fits the bill for this tag. The 28-year-old actress is working in some of the biggest films of Indian Cinema which makes her a true pan-India female star.

Alia is currently acting in two of India’s biggest upcoming projects, RRR and Brahmastra. The former marks Alia’s debut in the South. As it is directed by SS Rajamouli, there is a huge hype on it. On the flip side, Brahmastra is a mythological fantasy that is being made on a mammoth budget. It features Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna in the other pivotal roles.

Apart from these two biggies, Alia is also coming up with Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is an anticipated project in Bollywood. The film marks the first time collaboration between Alia and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The teaser received a thumping response from the viewers and it looks like Alia’s performance will remain a huge factor in this movie.

Just the other day, it is announced that she is the leading lady of Karan Johar’s upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani. She is also a part of Karan Johar’s ambitious project Takht but it looks like the film has been kept on hold as of now. Most of these films have a pan-India appeal and will release across various languages. Considering all these factors, it is safe to say that Alia is the biggest female superstar in the country right now.
