These are the latest pictures of the iconic Sudarshan 35MM theater at the RTC X Roads in Hyderabad. The theater management has been implementing strict social distancing measures inside the theater premises and is maintaining a fair gap between each seat. Also, circles have been drawn to maintain distance at places that may be thronged by crowds.
Ahead of the reopening of cinemas, theater managements at single screens and multiplexes across the country have been following similar meadows for the safety of their patrons. The government of India and the state governments are expected to permit the reopening of cinemas from August, after chalking out the possibilities in the phase 3 of lockdown 5.
The film exhibition business suffered heavy losses to the tune of hundreds of crores due the total closure of theaters for over 2 months during the lockdown. Exhibitors are pitching for drastic revival measures and tax cuts to recover their losses.
