Republic’s Release Date Locked?

Sai Dharam Tej and Deva Katta’s Republic has been making headlines. The other day, the makers have unveiled the film’s theme song which clocked in over 1.1 million views so far. As the makers have kick started the film’s promotions much early, the question on everyone’s lips is that when is the film slated for release and what is the release date that the makers are aiming for.

As per sources close to the unit, Republic is likely to hit the theatres in the first week of September. Mostly, September 3rd is being considered for the film’s release. This would be a week ahead of auspicious Vinayaka Chavitha that falls on September 10th. Sai Dharam Tej has put in his blood and sweat in this film and pinning high hopes on the film which is said to be a hard-hitting political thriller laced with social elements.

Mani Sharma’s background score is expected to be a major highlight for this powerful political drama from Deva Katta who is credited with films like Prasthanam and Vennela. After Prathi Roju Pandage’s commercial success, Tej is coming up with an author-backed role in Deva Katta’s directorial.
