Former IAS officer and Siddipet ex-Collector Venkatrami Reddy is at the receiving end of criticism for taking Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and joining the TRS party in no time. Venkatrami Reddy even managed to get an MLC ticket from the TRS party and his victory is just a cake walk.
Pointing out Venkatrami Reddy’s gesture of touching KCR’s feet during the inauguration of Siddipet new Collector office, the opposition slammed the ex-bureaucrat. They shared the picture of Venkatrami Reddy taking the blessings of KCR and it went viral.
Reacting to this criticism, Venkatrami Reddy hit back that not once, he will bow down before KCR’s feet a 100 times. “KCR is a Godly figure to me and I will take his blessing another hundred times,” said Venkatrami Reddy. Defending his VRS, he added that he had worked with many chief ministers in the past.
“The criticism from the opposition is utter rubbish. I have worked with many CMs and many of them know my calibre. But I was attracted to KCR’s working style and so I stepped into politics and joined the TRS party. I feel fortunate that I received an MLC ticket and I will be indebted to KCR for life,” added Venkatrami Reddy.
Taking part in the TRS protest at Indira Park, Venkatrami Reddy added that the government of India is doing great injustice to the farmers of Telangana. “With KCR’s efforts, the paddy cultivation has grown by 600 times in the state. Why doesn’t the GoI buy the crop from farmers?” questioned Reddy.
These comments suggest that the ex-IAS officer is now a proper politician. That was quick!
