Pawan Kalyan Reveals His Future in the Film Industry

Pawan Kalyan, who recently became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh after the 2024 elections, has three pending films in various stages of production; Hari Hara Veera Mallu, They Call Him OG and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. These projects were signed before his political comeback, which saw his party sweep the assembly elections.

With his new constitutional role and improved financial standing, there has been growing speculation about whether he will continue acting. Fans and the public have been watching closely, especially with Hari Hara Veera Mallu set to release on July 24. Pawan Kalyan has been actively promoting the film over the past week, attending events and interacting with the media, a rare sight for the actor-turned-politician.

During one such interaction, he addressed questions about his future in the film industry.
“Of course, cinema will always be my source,” Pawan said. “But that doesn’t mean I need to act. Very soon, I’ll be producing films under my banner, PK Creative Works.”

On the acting front, he confirmed that his shooting for They Call Him OG has been wrapped, and the shoot for Ustaad Bhagat Singh was originally scheduled to be completed by July 31. However, due to the ongoing promotional activities for Hari Hara Veera Mallu, it might be delayed by another three days.

Pawan’s statement confirms that while he may gradually step away from acting, his involvement in cinema will continue in a different capacity, as a producer. This shift could open doors for new collaborations and projects under his banner. Though unconfirmed, there’s already buzz in the industry that longtime collaborator Trivikram Srinivas may join him as a partner in upcoming productions.
