One of the hallmark promises made by chief minister Chandrababu Naidu during the electoral campaign is the free RTC bus travel program for female population. This program is supposed to largely attract the female demographic in the state.
The earlier announcement from Chief Minister Babu was that this bus program would be implemented for intra district travel. This essentially means that women can travel within the district limits free of cost in APSRTC buses. This is a standard operating procedure for this program that is already implementation in Telangana and Karnataka.
For the latest announcement from the government of Andhra Pradesh through Cabinet Minister Atchannaidu blows this out of proportion.
The senior minister has communicated a short while ago that the free RTC travel program will be available across the state. This means that the women population can travel a tree of cost in RTC buses all across Andhra Pradesh, and there is no inter-district restriction as such.
This is a pretty significant public centric announcement made by the government of Andhra Pradesh and also largely turn the women population in favour of the NDA government not just this term but also in the years to follow.
