The Hyderabad Police Department has been taking every measure to ensure that the city remains one of the safest destinations in India, and the results are proving to be effective and positive.
As revealed by the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar, the city has witnessed a promising decline in the crime rate and the volume of reported cases.
The Hyderabad police registered 30,690 cases in 2025 as against 35,994 cases in the previous year. The crime rate has dropped by nearly 15 percent, which is a very positive sign.
The number of cybercrime activities has also gone down considerably. While the previous year registered over 4,000 cases, 2025 has recorded fewer than 3,730 cases.
It has further been communicated that there has been a sharp decline in the number of murder cases as well. However, one concerning factor is that crimes against women have gone up by 6 percent compared to 2024.
The newly appointed Hyderabad City Police Commissioner has made it very clear that criminal activities will be dealt with on a top priority basis, and there will be no soft approach regarding the same.
