It has been over three years since the sad passing of Jaahnavi Kandula in Seattle after a reckless Police officer rammed her to death in his car. But this incident is still reminiscing in the Telugu community, and people are sympathising with the family.
The latest news in this development came out yesterday as the Seattle city agreed to compensate the victims family by buying out $29 million. This roughly converts to ₹262 crores in Indian currency.
But just when people thought this was a reasonable financial compensation for the loss of the family, another shocking development is being established now.
According to the latest reports from national media reports, Jaahnavi’s father had been on a long leave after her demise as he could not process the death of her daughter.
The father is Srikanth Kandula and he had been working as a police constable in Andhra Pradesh regiment and he had been struggling to cope with the news about his daughter. Sadly, he had passed away just two days before the Seattle city announced this financial compensation to the family.
Reportedly Srikanth never recovered from his daughter’s death, and this took at all on his health condition as well. Subsequently, he tragically passed away, just a couple of days ago.
The family might have received a significant financial package from the United States, but they have sustained the passing of their daughter and her father to this incident. At the end of the day, no amount of money can bring back the void of a loved family member and that’s for certain.
