Pa. Ranjith Calls Sobhita Dhulipala A Brilliant Actor

Sobhita Dhulipala is playing a physically demanding role in Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming film Vettuvam. The actress has reportedly put in a lot of effort for the action sequences, and director Pa. Ranjith has praised her commitment to the role.

Ranjith called Sobhita a “brilliant actor” and revealed that she performed all her action scenes herself without using a stunt double. He said he had been following her work for a long time and had wanted to work with her. The opportunity finally came with Vettuvam.

According to Ranjith, stunt doubles were used only during camera rehearsals. When it came to the actual shoot, Sobhita performed the sequences herself. The director said the team wanted the action to look authentic and appreciated the actress for giving her 100 percent.

Sobhita also spoke about the challenges of shooting the action portions. She said some of the choreography in the film requires years of practice, with certain skills taking 15 to 20 years to master. Despite the difficulty, she said the entire team performed the stunts with great spirit and teamwork.

Vettuvam is giving Sobhita a chance to explore a completely different side of her acting. Her dedication to the physically challenging role has clearly impressed Pa. Ranjith.
