The trailer of Rakasa presents a strong big screen experience with a mix of folklore, suspense and humour. It builds a mysterious world that feels both rooted in tradition and exciting for theatre viewing.
The trailer opens with a powerful line about a village sending sacrifices not to a normal being but to a terrifying Brahma Rakshasa. This sets the tone of fear and belief that controls the village. A closed fortress and repeated sacrifices show a cycle that no one can escape.
When Sangeeth Shobhan enters as Veera, the mood slowly changes. What starts as normal turns tense, but humour is added naturally throughout. Warning signs like falling meteors, animals turning into dead bodies overnight and the need for sacrifice increase the tension.
Visually, the trailer stands out with dark interiors, torch lighting and large fortress sets. The film looks rich and cinematic. The background score also grows from light moments to a more intense and powerful tone.
The film is already getting good attention online. The teaser and songs have crossed millions of views, showing strong interest from audiences. It is planned for a wide release in India and overseas, with premieres starting on April 2, 2026.
Along with Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika, the film also features Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi and Getup Srinu.
Produced by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal, and directed by Manasa Sharma, the film has music by Anudeep Dev.
Rakasa is set to release worldwide on April 3, 2026 and looks like a solid theatre entertainer.
