Bhagyashree Borse is one of the freshest faces in South Indian cinema, but her journey so far has been anything but smooth. Born in Aurangabad and raised partly in Lagos, Nigeria, she started with small roles in Bollywood before making her Telugu debut in Mr. Bachchan with Ravi Teja, a film that flopped but earned her the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut.
She then appeared in Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom and Ram’s AKT, which received mixed reviews and failed to set the box office on fire. For a young actress still finding her footing, back-to-back disappointments are never easy.
