Natural Star Nani’s Unanimous Productions, which produced the sensational hit COURT, has unveiled its second film, with Nithiin playing the lead. Produced by Deepthi Ganta, the film is directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, who shot to fame with Dhandora. The film’s intriguing title, Alias Rukmini, is revealed through an attention-grabbing glimpse.
Nani asks Murali Kanth to narrate the story, and the director simply says it revolves around Krishna. Surprisingly, the visuals that follow showcase spicy novels written by Rukmini. Titles like Garam Gopal, Ameku Ame Ante Ishtam, and Vratham Venkanna only make the mystery more fascinating.
Unable to connect the dots, Nani questions the director, “You said it’s Krishna’s story. Then who is this Rukmini?” The answer arrives in the final moments as Nithiin appears as Krishna, a mathematics teacher working in an office. Wearing spectacles, he simply says, “My wife.” That brief response transforms the entire announcement into an intriguing puzzle.
Murali Kanth Devasoth once again demonstrates his ability to think differently, while Nani’s confidence in the script only raises expectations. Going by the announcement glimpse alone, Alias Rukmini promises a fresh cinematic experience packed with mystery, romance, and emotion.
The technical team includes cinematographer Jomon T John ISC, music composer Vijai Bulganin, production designer Avinash Kolla, and editor Srujana Adusumilli. Their collective effort is clearly evident in the glimpse. In particular, Vijai Bulganin’s soothing score leaves a strong positive impression.
The film is currently in pre-production, with principal photography set to commence soon.
