Indian Vessel Attacked Again In Red Sea, 13 Sailors Rescued

Geopolitical conflicts between different nations have put the lives of seafarers at huge risk due to unprovoked attacks on commercial ships. Already, tens of Indians died in the last couple of months due to naval strikes in different sea territories.

Now, another incident in the Red Sea has raised fresh worries about the growing risks faced by ships sailing through conflict zones.

An India-flagged cargo vessel, MSV Faize Noore Oliya, sank in the Red Sea after it was hit by a projectile near the coast of Yemen. The attack took place around 13 nautical miles south of Hodeidah, an area controlled by the Houthis.

Luckily no fatalities occurred during this attack as all crew on board have been safely rescued. 13 Indian sailors are saved by Yemeni Coast Guard and taken to the Port of Mokha. Officials said every crew member is safe without any injuries.

The latest attack is one among the many recent incidents faced by commercial ships in the Red Sea. Several vessels have been targeted in recent months as tensions continue in the region, forcing many ships to change routes for safety.

India has strongly condemned attacks on commercial ships and has called for the safety of civilian sailors. The government has said that protecting merchant vessels and their crew is important for safe global trade and navigation.
