Tamil Nadu politics witnessed a significant piece of political action the other day with the arrest and subsequent release of former Deputy CM and incumbent opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin.
This young politician got arrested yesterday morning for his indirect wild remarks on CM Vijay and actress Trisha at a public event. However, no significant charges were pressed against him by Chennai police, so he was able to get away with it rather easily.
What followed letter is rather very interesting as Udhay received a very warm and grand welcome from the DMK supporting group.
What was essentially a corrective measure against the former deputy CM for making extremely personal remarks on Vijay and linking actress Trisha with it, turned out to be a show of strength in the end.
The DMK supporting group gathered in big numbers to give their future leader a warm welcome from police station as it was made to seem like a hero’s welcome.
Social media users are commenting that such activities are to be condemned at all times as it is extremely demeaning to see a politician who made such vulgar comments on the CM got such a reception in the end. But at the end of the day, Indian politics are completely different and that’s on display again today.
