In December last year, Superstar Rajinikanth announced his entry into politics. He also added that he will announce the party name on December 31. With this announcement, people expected Rajini to play a key role in the Tamil Nadu General Elections 2021. But in a shocking move, Rajini stated that he will not be entering into politics.
Rajini cited health issues as the reason for his back out from the political entry. Recently, Rajini’s PRO Riaz K Ahmed shared the actor’s official statement on Twitter.
In that note, Rajini stated that he will not enter into politics for the sake of people who are passing comments on him for not doing it so. He also took indirect potshots against the political parties for taking huge election rallies amid the coronavirus pandemic.
He added that he will not put his supporters’ lives at stake at any cost. Meanwhile, even Madras High Court slammed the Election Commission for not handling the elections in Tamil Nadu effectively.
On the flip side, Rajini is currently working on his film Annaatthe under the direction of Siva.
