A 26-year-old Telugu woman Swetha Chirumamilla was found dead at the Rialto Beach in Washington state.
Swetha was at the beach on the Olympic Peninsula northwest of Seattle with friends when a wave overpowered the group. The US Coast Guard said it received a call at 10:50 am on Monday, September 25 about the 26-year-old was reportedly taken by ocean currents.
The Coast Guard searched for five hours with two helicopter crews and a land search party. The rangers found the body around 5 p.m. the same day.
Though the body was found the officials were unable to complete the recovery operation until Wednesday evening due to extremely dangerous weather conditions.
