A student from Hyderabad has been robbed and injured by a group of armed robbers in Chicago.
Syed Mazahir Ali is from Langar Houz, Mehdipatnam in Hyderabad, currently pursuing his Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. A CCTV video shows Ali being chased by three attackers near his house on Campbell Avenue in Chicago in the early hours of Tuesday, February 4.
Ali was admitted to a local hospital. Ali reveals that he was carrying food back home when four people cornered him, kicked and punched him before running away with his phone and wallet. Ali suffered several cuts and bruises.
‘There were punches on my eye, and they were hitting me with their legs on my face, on my ribs, on my back,’ Ali reportedly said.
