Young Indian Girl Killed by Stray Bullet in Canada

In a heartbreaking incident in Canada, a young Indian student, Harsimrat Randhawa, was shot dead by a stray bullet while waiting at a bus stop.

The 21-year-old was studying at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. She was on her way to work on Wednesday evening when shots were fired from a moving car. Sadly, Harsimrat was not involved in the incident — she was just an innocent bystander.

Hamilton Police said the shooting took place around 7:30 PM near Upper James and South Bend Road. When officers arrived, they found her with a gunshot wound in her chest. She was rushed to the hospital, but could not survive.

Police reviewed video footage and confirmed that someone in a black car was shooting at people in a white sedan. After the shooting, both cars sped away from the scene.

The bullets even hit a nearby house where people were watching TV. Luckily, no one inside the house was hurt.

The Consulate General of India in Toronto shared their condolences and said they are in touch with Harsimrat’s family and helping them in every way possible.

Police have requested anyone with dashcam or security footage from the area between 7:15 PM and 7:45 PM to come forward and assist with the investigation.
