It is a well-established fact that India has one of the highest foreign travel rates, with both students and working professionals showing a strong interest in going abroad for better education and employment opportunities.
This trend is clearly reflected in the latest statistics on UK visa issuance.
According to official data, Indian nationals received the highest share of visas issued by the United Kingdom.
Numerically, Indian nationals accounted for 22% of all work visas issued by the UK in 2024. Pakistan and Nigeria followed with 9% and 7% respectively.
The student visa category showed a similar trend, with Indian students receiving 23% of the total student visas issued by the UK in 2024.
