The ongoing dispute between Elon Musk and Donald Trump took a turn today with Musk expressing a regret over his posts. He has deleted a series of posts that he shared on X already. In his posts, he levied many allegations against Trump. Today, he took to X sharing a regret over all the posts.
The dispute began after Musk sharply criticized the Republican Party’s proposed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” calling it an “outrageous, pork-filled… disgusting abomination” and urging lawmakers to reject it. The remarks did not sit well with Trump supporters.
Trump appeared in sealed Epstein documents, implying that this was the reason those files have not been released.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT! Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out,” Musk wrote on June 7th and he later posted more tweets.
The posts sparked immediate backlash and triggered a media storm. Musk, who had previously served in an advisory capacity to the government, seemed to distance himself.
Answering to reporters on the same, Trump said, “I haven’t really thought about it actually. I would imagine he wants to speak to me. If I was him, I would want to speak to me… We had a good relationship and I just wish him well, very well actually.”
It looks like Musk also realised the same and has tweeted, “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”
