Indian-origin truck driver Jagseer Boparai, 37, died in a road mishap at Adelaide suburb of Salisbury in Australia, weeks before he was supposed to return to India to marry his fiancée.
Boparai died in a horrific road accident after he lost control of his Honda sedan and the car veered off the road, crashed into a tree, a bus shelter and an electric pole.
On information, Emergency Services reached Cross Keys Road around 2 am on Saturday but Boparai could not be saved, even when his car was travelling at 50 km/hr. Following the accident, traffic on either side of Cross Keys Road was closed on Saturday.
The concrete truck driver was saving money to return to India and get married. Not just his family members and fiancée, even the Salisbury community was also shattered following the death.
As Boparai’s car hit a power pole, there was power disruption in the surrounding homes and businesses and the pole was bent 90 degrees. SA Power Networks repaired the damaged Stobie pole and traffic movement was allowed afterwards.
The concrete truck driver’s brother, cousin and friend reached the crash site hours later and were found crying inconsolably.
