The aspirants of the most sought after H-1B visa were dealt with a killer shock after United States president Donald Trump signed an executive order that mandates $100K fee for H-1B visas. But the latest developments are suggesting that there is a bit of positive respite regarding a section of the H-1B visa aspirants.
According to the latest reports, the White House is considering the idea of exempting doctors from the new H-1B regulation that mandates a fee of $100K.
The latest report from Bloomberg, which first broke the news about the imposition of the new fee by Donald Trump administration, implies that doctors could face some respite in this connection.
The White House said doctors could qualify for exemptions from the $100,000 fee for high-skilled H-1B visa applications, which can be waived if the Secretary of Homeland Security determines that the hiring of these workers is in the national interest.
Not all the doctors will be exempted from the new H1B fee regulation but certain workforce that’s selected to operate primarily in the rural pockets of United States could be eligible for the waiver.
But nevertheless, it must be noted that only a clear order from the administration could validate this claim. Until then, all H-1B visas will include a massive $100K fee without fail.
