Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is one of the upcoming pan-Indian films. The film comes as a prequel to already hit film, Kantara. The team launched the trailer yesterday which opened to a mixed to positive response for its technical brilliance but a few opined that it is weak on the content’s side.
Meanwhile, a press meet took place last evening in Bangalore where the makers shared the insights into the film. Speaking at the event, Rishab shared that he was supposed to die on the sets 4-5 times.
From the beginning of the film, multiple accidents were reported on the film’s sets. Additionally, multiple people related to the film also died mysteriously or suddenly. It created a depressing situation around the film unit pushing them into a dilemma.
However, they are strong enough to come out of the low times and worked hard to finish the film in time. Rishab had acknowledged the same in his speech.
“We haven’t slept properly for 3 months because of continuous work. Everyone including the direction team and the producers supported it as like their own film. Everyone who worked on the set owned the film and only because of that, we are here today. There have been many accidents on the sets which the media reported. In fact, if I count, I was about to die 4 or 5 times during shoot, the divinity we trust saved me and gave blessings to all of us,” said Rishab Shetty.
Produced by Hombale Films, the movie delves into the ancient origins of the Bhoota Kola ritual. The screenplay has been co-written by Rishab, Anirudh Mahesh, and Shanil Guru. Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Gulshan Deviah and others are a part of the movie.
The film is hitting the screens on October 2nd.
