Us President Trump Finally Gets A Peace Prize

US President Donald Trump, who projected himself as a strong contender for Nobel Peace Prize and vigorously campaigned for nomination after claiming that he stopped many wars including India – Pakistan escalation earlier this year, has finally received one now. 

FIFA, the apex governing body for football, on Friday named Donald Trump as the first winner of the newly established FIFA peace prize. The announcement was made earlier today during the draw ceremony for the next year’s Men’s Football Worldcup to be jointly hosted by United States of America, Canada and Mexico. 

Trump was given a large golden trophy along with a medal and certificate by FIFA president Gianni Infantino during the ceremony at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. On this occasion, Trump said ” This is truly one of the greatest honours of my life.” He claimed that he had saved tens of millions of lives through diplomatic interventions and had stopped wars happening just before they started. 

Trump further said “The world is a safer place now. The USA was not doing well a year ago; now we are the hottest country in the world right now.” He also claimed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup has set a new record for ticket sales. 

After taking charge as US President earlier this year, Trump has claimed that he held negotiations with the heads of several countries to end long-standing conflicts. He later aggressively canvassed to nominate him for the coveted Nobel Peace Prize. However, he was not nominated by the committee.
