It appears that the inevitable is happening as United States president Donald Trump is going all out to acquire or invade Greenland by one means or another. It has now reached a point where even Greenland Prime Minister is concerned about the same.
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen issued a public statement on January 20, urging residents to prepare for potential US military action, amid President Trump’s renewed push to acquire the territory.
The Greenland Prime Minister pointed out that the military invasion might be unlikely at this point in time, but can’t be ruled out entirely. He stated that Donald Trump has been making advancements for military operations to invade Greenland and asked the citizens to prepare for the same.
This is in tune with the fact that Donald Trump had recently stated he is going to conquer Greenland one way or another. He had even warned military grade action against Greenland, if they do not facilitate his move.
In this context, Denmark which had been commanding territory for Greenland had started to deploy groups in this region to potentially fightback United States advancement.
However, Denmark or Greenland are of no match to the United States military and a complete takeover is inevitable if Trump decides.
