Indian Student Missing in US: What Did Police Say?

Twentytwo-year-old Saketh Sreenivasaiah, an Indian student at the University of California, Berkeley, has been missing since February 9. The Berkeley Police Department sought public help in tracking him.

According  to the police, Sreenivasaiah was last seen near Lake Anza in the 1700 block of Dwight Way on Tuesday. The Indian Embassy in San Francisco tweeted on Saturday that the consulate general is in touch with Sreenivasiah’s family in India and the local authorities.

Police described Sreenivasaiah stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. However, there is no information about the circumstances under which he disappeared but he is considered at risk.

Sreenivasiah hails from Karnataka and is pursuing a Master’s degree in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department at University of California, Berkeley, with an undergraduate degree from IIT Madras.
