As we had already reported last month as many as 10 Indian individuals were charged with visa fraud in the United States, and now we have a new update on the same.
After the criminal case that was filed against these 10 individuals, last month, Boston, Federal Judge has indicted them the same and the legal consequences will follow now.
Going into the story, 10 Indian nationals have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston in connection with a conspiracy to carry out staged armed robberies of convenience stores for the purpose of allowing store clerks to falsely claim they were crime victims on immigration applications. The defendants were previously charged by criminal complaint in March 2026.

Now that the federal indiction process has started, these culprits could be facing upto $250K in fines and upto 5 years in prison. They will all be subject to deportation now after legal scrutiny is done.
