USA: Telugu Boy Dies on Birthday After Drowning

Tragic deaths of NRIs in overseas countries due to unfortunate accidents keep rising day by day. These heartbreaking stories are a pointer on how life can be so harsh for the family members of deceased back in India due to the loss close ones. Yesterday, it was reported that a Guntur girl was killed in a brutal road accident. 

In another sad news to report, a Telugu boy from Andhra Pradesh passed away in USA on Saturday after drowning in a lake. He is identified as Singireddy Sai Sri Harikrishna, who hails from Piridi Village in Bobbili Mandal of Vizianagaram district. What is more heart-wrenching is that Harikrishna died on his birthday after throwing a party to his close friends on the occasion. 

As per reports, Harikrishna went to USA few years ago to pursue his masters and recently secured a handsome job. On Saturday, he celebrated his birthday along with friends and later went for swimming late in the evening. Unfortunately, he died after drowning in the lake. Despite immediate efforts from his friends to give medical assistance, Harikrishna could not be saved as he was declared dead by doctors. 

The news about Harikrishna’s death sent the village into utter shock. Parents and family members could not come to terms after learning about the demise. Andhra Pradesh Minister Kondapalli Srinivas of Bobbili constituency is now making efforts to bring back the body for last rites.
