Amid many unfortunate incidents that resulted in the death of Indian nationals staying abroad, a shocking sucide case involving an young woman from Karnataka is now being reported from Uganda.
As per the latest reports, a 22-year-old woman named Bindu H. Ajjol from the Vijayanagara district in Karnataka died by suicide in Uganda last week. She was living in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, with her husband, Chandrashekhar. The tragic incident took place at their home on June 27, leaving her family and community in deep shock.
Bindu and Chandrashekhara loved each other and got married on June 7, 2025. Soon after their wedding, they both got jobs at a private company in Uganda. They moved abroad in July last year to start a new life together. Sources reveal that Bindu was very close to her family and used to call her mother every day from Uganda.
While the exact reason for the suicide is not known, preliminary investigation found that Bindu died after hanging herself at home. On the day of the shocking incident, she called her husband and asked him to come home for lunch. However, when Chandrashekhar arrived at the house, he found her hanging. He immediately took her to a nearby hospital, but the doctors declared that she was already dead.
Bindu’s body was sent back to India on an Emirates flight and reached the Bengaluru airport today morning.
