From the beginning of US – Iran war, Donal Trump has been aggressive in his decisions whenever the opponents refused to accept his diplomatic terms. The US military has caused considerable damage on Iran and its resources. For the first time, Trump seems to be in a spot of bother.
Reports suggest that Trump has now temporarily paused military action on Iran after meeting top officials. He made this choice as US military advisors warned that defense supplies are dropping quickly. They noted that defending troops and bases across the Middle East could drain interceptor stocks at a dangerous rate.
A major problem for the US is the huge cost gap between the weapons used by both sides. Iran relies on low-cost attack drones that cost between 20,000 and 50,000 dollars each. To shoot them down, the US uses defense missiles that cost over 1.5 million dollars each. This huge price difference places a heavy burden on US resources.
Moreover, Iran is using cheaper and more accurate weapons like the Kheibar Shekan missile. This missile can travel up to 1,400 kilometers and runs on solid fuel. Because it does not need fueling before launch, troops can transport it quickly on trucks and fire it fast. This makes it difficult for US aircraft to spot and destroy the launchers.
Because missile stocks are running low, the US is seeking a peaceful way forward. White House officials said President Trump prefers diplomatic talks rather than a long war. The US has reportedly asked countries like Qatar and Pakistan to help mediate, though it remains ready to act if attacks on its bases continue.
