US: Adobe’s 100% Employees Green Card Cases Put on Hold

Almost all the green card applications linked to Adobe employees have reportedly been put on hold, according to data from PERM Tracker, which monitors US Department of Labor records.

As of September 25, PERM Tracker listed 215 of Adobe Inc.’s 215 pending PERM cases as being on hold, or about 100% of its pending cases.

PERM is an important step in the US employment-based green card process. Under the system, employers generally need to obtain labor certification from the DOL before sponsoring a foreign worker for permanent residence.

This shocking move has attracted attention because of the unusually high concentration of Adobe cases in the “APPLICATION ON HOLD” category.

Meanwhile, Adobe is not the only major technology company appearing in the data.

Cognizant Technology Solutions US Corporation has 1,831 out of 1,831 pending PERM cases on hold — 100%.Adobe is now also among companies with an exceptionally high concentration of cases in the hold category.

The broader PERM data shows that 2,070 cases nationwide were listed as “APPLICATION ON HOLD” as of September 25, 2026.

For employees waiting for green cards, this development could mean additional uncertainty and delays, but the available data does not establish how long the cases will remain on hold or what action the DOL may take next.

For now, the key point is that Adobe’s pending PERM cases have largely been placed on hold, but the reason for the hold remains unclear.
