A few days ago, a Telugu NRI named Bharat Pulipati, who is originally from Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh, appealed from USA through social media about his battle with cancer for four years and wished to return to homeland to spend his last days.
Unfortunately, Bharath passed away in Houston yesterday, leaving behind a heartbreaking story of a final wish that remained unfulfilled. The tragic news has been confirmed by his family members.
He went to the USA in 2021 for pursuing a Master’s degree to secure a bright future. For four years, he fought a courageous battle against advanced liver cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma).
As his medical condition turned critical and doctors indicated he had very little time left, Bharath shared an emotional video from his hospital bed that struck a chord across social media.
AP Education Minister and TDP leader Nara Lokesh also responded on the issue and stated that the medical team advised against travel due to Bharath’s rapidly deteriorating health.
Despite the outpouring of prayers and community support, Bharath’s condition proved too severe. He passed away in Houston, Texas before his wish to return to his native home could be realized. Now, his family is making efforts to bring his mortal remains back to the country.
