Dubai to Let You Walk on 24-Karat Gold!

Dubai is planning another attraction that could grab global attention. The Dubai Gold District is preparing to open a 24-karat gold walkway before the end of 2026, adding a new experience for tourists visiting the emirate.

According to the reports, the walkway is expected to open within the next two months. Rashid Al Harmoudi, Senior Director of the Commercial Sector at Dubai Gold District, said the project would be the first of its kind and the longest gold walkway in the world.

However, officials have not yet revealed its exact length, construction details or the quantity of gold involved. The opening is currently a target, with further details awaited.

Located in Deira, Dubai Gold District was launched in January 2026 to bring gold retailers, jewellery businesses, bullion traders and investors together in one destination. The district has more than 1,000 retailers across gold, jewellery, perfumes, cosmetics and lifestyle products.

The gold walkway is part of Dubai’s wider effort to combine shopping with unique tourist experiences. The district has also reported a 20% increase in wholesale gold trading offices starting operations since the beginning of this year, while new shops dealing in jewellery, precious stones and luxury watches have grown by 15%.
