Akkineni Heroes Absolutely Slay This Magazine Cover

Three generations, one bloodline, one incredible year. Nagarjuna Akkineni, son of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao, along with his own sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, each delivered career-defining hits back to back, and now they’re celebrating together on Variety India’s second cover, ‘Serving Cinema’, marking an unbroken 90-year run in the industry that began with Akkineni Nageswara Rao himself.

The timing is everything. Nagarjuna scored with Kuberaa and the massive Coolie, still every bit the King. Naga Chaitanya finally landed his big commercial win with Thandel and is now building a sharper, director-driven lineup. But Akhil’s comeback hits hardest, after a three-year gap, Lenin became his career-biggest blockbuster, crossing ₹68 crore worldwide, on a film his own father was deeply invested in.

The cover itself oozes old-world elegance: Nagarjuna in beige pinstripe with sunglasses and statement rings, Naga Chaitanya in rust-brown retro tailoring with a flower pin, Akhil in rich chocolate brown, sleeves rolled, quietly confident.

Beyond the styling, the story turns reflective, privilege, legacy, and carrying forward what ANR started. With Nagarjuna eyeing his 100th film and the younger two riding fresh momentum, this feels less like a moment and more like a new chapter.
