Naidu: Neither Balayya nor Brahmani Will Lead TTDP

Following the exit of L Ramana, Telugu Desam Party Telangana wing is gearing up for a change in leadership. The new president of T-TDP is likely to be announced very soon.

In his latest interaction with T-TDP leaders, the party supremo, Chandrababu Naidu was asked if his brother-in-law Balakrishna or his daughter-in-law Brahmani would be interested in leading the party in Telangana.

Chandrababu came up with an affirmative response this question. “Balakrishna is an MLA from Andhra Pradesh. Appointing him as party president in Telangana would invite huge criticism, much like the one Sharmila’s outfit is facing now. It wouldn’t be right to bring Balakrishna into Telangana TDP,” he said.

Speaking about Brahmani, Naidu said she wouldn’t turn active in politics in the foreseeable future.

So, Chandrababu has confirmed that neither Balakrishna nor Brahmani will lead Telangana TDP. “If they want to serve the party in Telangana, it is upto them. But they won’t take up leadership roles,” he concluded.

Naidu stated he will hold multiple tours in Telangana to rejuvenate the party cadre and bring back the lost glory to TDP.
