The Telangana Road Transport Corporation Joint Action Committee (TSRTC JAC) is all set to hold a protest called ‘Chalo Bus Bhavan’, on August 7, against the management of TSRTC. Except for the pro-TRS Telangana Mazdoor Union, the rest of the 10 other unions will be participating in this protest.
The JAC is holding the protest in response to the harassment of RTC management on the employees. It is stated that some of the employees are working for 15-16 hours a day and are not being compensated for these extra hours of work. K Hanumanth Mudiraj, Vice-Chairman Telangana Jathiya Mazdoor Union, stated that it is barbarous to feed on the worker’s lives.
He also alleged that the payments are not being made on time. Apparently, city depot employees and the district depot employees are getting their salaries on the 20th and 15th of every month respectively.
Before holding the protest, the JAC will meet at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Narayanaguda on August 3rd, to discuss the various other issues that are being faced by the employees.
