In a dramatic turn of events, India lost to Sri Lanka in the last two T20I matches and eventually got defeated in the series with 2-1. It all happened when Krunal Pandya was tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back.
Along with him, eight players who maintained close contact with Krunal were also kept under isolation. This resulted in India using many new players. In fact, India batted with only 5 specialist batsmen in the last two games.

Meanwhile, another section of fans took the side for Krunal and questioned why head coach Rahul Dravid is not being blamed for the failure when everyone praised him for the series win during ODIs. They opined that he should be given equal credits for success and failure.
