After the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary (CS) is the prime person of a state government. From October 1st, AP will be having CS in the form of Sameer Sharma. Confirming the appointment of Sameer Sharma, the AP government issued a fresh G.O.
Current CS Adityanath Das will be retiring on September 30th and based on the recommendations and seniority in services, the AP government appointed Sameer Sharma.
The new CS belongs to the 1985 IAS batch and he had worked as Chief Managing Director (CMD) of APCO and ITDC in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Currently Sameer is working as Principal Secretary to the AP State’s Planning Commission and also the Vice Chairman of Institute of Leadership Governance.
Sameer Sharma will be taking charge from October 1st.
