KCR’s New Sentiment On Telangana Culture And Heritage

Telangana CM KCR expressed his disappointment on the government of India in awarding the ‘Padma Shri’ for Telangana personalities. A debate on Telangana’s culture and heritage in view of Ramappa temple getting UNESCO recognition happened in the Assembly on Monday.

Speaking on the same KCR said, “Telangana has a rich history and traditions. This land has seen many folk artists in centuries but unfortunately the united Andhra rulers have ignored this region. Sadly the government of India is also doing the same.”

“Don’t we have eligible personalities for Padma Shri awards? Should I make the list or not for Padma awards? Is what I questioned PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. They tried to pacify me and my anguish,” said KCR.

Adding, “Telangana has glorious remnants of history, beautiful landscapes, waterfalls and many others that can attract tourists from every corner. Our government has the responsibility to protect our culture and heritage. We will form a committee with a legislature in it and initiate steps to give them national and international recognition.”

However, CM KCR raked up a new Telangana sentiment with his comments and after a long time, he vent out his anger on the Modi government. We shall see how Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister For Culture and Tourism reacts to KCR’s comments.
