Get Ready For Dharma Yuddham, Naidu Tells TDP Cadre

TDP president and Opposition leader N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the party was waging a war against ‘adharma’ being perpetrated by the YSRC goons and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He made it clear that the TDP would not retreat from the ‘dharma yuddham’ and continue to fight till justice prevails in the state. The TDP will not remain silent if injustice is done to the people, he said.

Reminding that 24 claymore mines were planted in an attempt on his life at Alipiri, he said that it was due to Lord Venkateswara’s grace that he was still surviving. “I do not know why Lord Balaji saved me.”

Countering the ‘backstabber’ charges against him being made by the YCP men, Naidu said that people know the amount of love Jagan has towards his mother and sister. He just used his sister Sharmila to counter my padayatra in state and now, that ‘Jagananna Baanam’ is roaming in Telangana.

You could not do justice to your mother and sister but brand me a cheater and backstabber. Tell me who is the betrayer, he asked.

On hearing this counter from their leader, the Telugu Tammullu raised their voice in support to Naidu. The entire speech by Naidu was in a question-answer format and the TDP cadre never let down their party boss. Instead, they clapped, whistled and boosted the spirit of Naidu which made him speak with extra energy and enthusiasm.

The TDP chief lamented that the YSRC men did heavy research and found out the meaning of some word used by their party leader Pattabhi and dragged even Jagan’s mother into the issue.

During my 40 years of political life, I never uttered even a single abusive word. I just raise my voice if I am angry but never badmouth or use cuss words against any one even when my rivals provoked me, Naidu said.

He listed out various incidents where he and his party cadre were ill-treated by the police. He lamented that the police force has become a puppet in Jagan’s hand. “Despite the High Court admonishing him, the DGP is still dancing to the tunes of Jagan and is behaving just like a YCP activist in khaki uniform, he said.

At the behest of the YCP leaders, the police did not allow me to enter Vizag and Tirupati during the LG styrene mishap and bypolls respectively on flimsy ground. “Should not these acts be considered as terrorist activities?”

When the TDP offices were attacked two days ago, I called up everybody and they spoke to me but the state police and the head of the police force, DGP Gautam Sawang, did not have time for me, he pointed out.

Appreciating the party activists and leaders for reaching the party head office at Mangalagiri overcoming the hurdles created by the YCP, Naidu thanked the cadre for their immense support and said that never had he felt such warmth from them. This indicates that even you are convinced the YCP is targeting us, he said. The TDP chief’s speech was invigorating and the fact was reflected in the activists applauding him for his sarcastic remarks on Jagan and his coterie.

Naidu urged all political parties, caste organizations and intellectuals to come together and save democracy.
